Radha Damodar Temple Vrindavan
Sri Radha Damodar Temple is a famous temple of Radha and Krishna and it is located in Vrindavan, Mathura of Uttar Pradesh. This temple was founded by Shri Rupa Goswami and Jeeva Goswami, the great devotees of the “SRI KRISHNA BHAKTI MOVEMENT”.
At the present place of the temple, once Lord Krishna had appeared in the form of a small child and gave his divine darshan to the Goswamis. And as a result both of them have attained salvation at this temple.
At the main shrine of the temple, Lord Krishna and Mata Radha appear with divine beauty, by wearing precious ornaments and beautiful dresses.It is also believed that at this present place of the temple, Lord Krishna had performed his childhood plays during the previous Dwapara Yuga.
During the 20th century AD, the founder of ISKCON, Sri Prabhupadaji, had renovated this ancient temple, performed puja and used to sing songs in front of the temple. In this temple festivals are celebrated in a grand manner likeShri Krishna Janmashtami and Shri Radashtami etc. Nearby the temple, lot of hotels and lodging houses are available. Free food is being offered during festival days, and Prasad items are available inside the temple premises at an affordable price.
During Saturdays and festival days, Holy Prasad butter would be offered to all the devotees at this Temple. By consuming the Prasad, devotees have got relieved from their various ailments. Childless couples used to visit this wonderful temple of Lord Krishna, in order to give birth to a divine child, like Krishna.
