Onam Puja celebrations (temple festival during Onam) in Vamanamoorthy Temple in Thrikkakara of Kerala will begin on 31 August 2011. The 10-day annual festival begins on Atham day in Chinga masam and ends on Thiruvonam day. It begins with flag hoisting by temple Tantri at 8 pm. Highlighting various art forms of Kerala, on September 7, a grand procession (Avani) will be held in Kalamassery on a par with ‘Athachamayam’ in Tripunithura.
The most important festive day in Vamanamoorthy Temple of Thrikkakara is Onam. Onasadya attracts thousands of devotees as it is celebrated in great manner.
