Mangalambigai Sametha Sri Prananadeswarar Tirukalyanam…
Similar to the marriages of human beings, marriages of the deities also takes place in the temples, and recently I have got the rare opportunity of witnessing the wonderful marriage event of Lord Shiva and Ma Parvati at the Prananadeswarar Temple.
Arulmigu Mangalambika Samedha Sri Prananadeswarar Temple is located In Tirumangalakudi, near Aduthurai in Tamil Nadu, and it is an ancient temple of Lord Shiva. This temple is glorified by the Nayanmar saints in the Tamil Sacred Text Tevaram.
The temple is located on the banks of the holy River Ma Kaveri. It is believed that those who visit and worship Lord Shiva at this temple would be relieved from their diseases, and they would prosper in their lives. On 31.03.2023, on the auspicious day Friday, I have visited this temple, and I had got nice darshan of the deities.
On 01.04.2023, Thirukalyanam Utsavam of Arulmigu Mangalambigai Samedha Sri Prananadeswarar takes place on this temple, on a grand manner, and lot of devotees took part on this wonderful holy event, and witnessed the divine marriage festival event of the holy couple, Lord Shiva and Ma Parvati. The chief priest has tied the sacred knot on the auspicious time to Ma Mangalambigai, and she was beautified with nice garments and rich ornaments, and decorated with wonderful flowers and flower garlands.
Joyful tears were flown from the eyes of the devotees, and I could also able to hear the wonderful chanting of “OM NAMAH SHIVAYA” Mantra from the mouth of the devotees, and all of them were fully satisfied after eagerly watching the sacred festival event.
At the present day life, separation happens between couples due to lack of understanding between each other. Some people, if they even try to get married after meeting marriage failures, still they are not able to withstand on their marriage life. Some youngsters fall in love due to body attraction, gets married, and in course of time, they feel that they could no longer unite with each other, and hence they gets easily separated from each other.
In order to put an end to this problem, let the devotees try to visit this wonderful temple, where Ma Parvati is known to be as Ma Mangalanayaki(who gives a permanent married life to the couples, safeguards the lives of the husbands, and makes the wives to live with their life partners happily and peacefully throughout their life time). Lord Shiva is known to be as Prananadeswarar, the one who gives a fresh lease of life to the devotees, by improving their health condition, and he makes them to properly breathe.
