Magha Maas 2018 in Gujarati Calendar

Magh month or Magh Maas (February – March) is the most auspicious month for devotees of Lord Shiva. Magh month is the fourth month in Gujarati Calendar. In 2018, Magha maas starts on January 16 and ends on February 15 as per Gujarati calendar.

Magh snan is the most observed ritual in this month. Magh Navratri, Ganesh Jayanti (Til Kund Chaturthi), Vasant Panchami, Rathsaptami, Bhishma Ashtami, Jaya Ekadasi, Maha Shivratri, etc. are important festivals in Magh month as per Gujarati calendar.

Sud Paksha in Magha maas 2018 – starts on starts on 16 January and ends on January 31.

Magha Maas Vad Paksha 2018 – begins on 1 February and ends on February 15.

Magh Shukla Panchami is celebrated as Basant Panchami or Vasant Panchami which is very auspicious for Saraswati Puja. Rathasaptami or Surya Jayanti is observed on Magha Shukla Saptami. Bhishmashtami, Bhishma Ekadashi or Jaya Ekadasi and Bhishma Dwadasi are other auspicious days in Magh mahina. Maha Shivratri is the most celebrated Hindu festival in Magh month.
