Dada Lekhraj | Founder of Brahma Kumaris

Lekhraj (1876 –1969), also known as Dada Lekhraj, was the founder of the Brahma Kumaris. Lekhraj was born in Hyderabad at Sindh Province in the year 1876. In his middle age, due to his deep interest in spirituality, he started a spiritual organisation called Om Mandali. And through that organisation, he started conducting divine lectures, and explained about the importance of god.

By getting attracted to his divine lectures, lot of people become his followers.Once Lekhraj had got the divine vision of Lord Shiva, and due to that, he got great spiritual powers.

In 1937, Lekhraj appointed some noble persons as the members of the committee Om Mandali, and in future it was known as the Association of Brahma Kumaris. Several people joined in Om Mandali, and donated their riches for the welfare of the organisation.

In course of time, Lekhraj moved the organisation from Hyderabad to Karachi. After the partition of India, the Brahma Kumaris shifted to Rajasthan in the year 1950.

Lekhraj died in the year 1969, and the Brahma Kumaris still strongly functions their operations in India.
