The great Pandava Bheema is also known as Kichaka Samhara Moorthy, since he has killed the wicked person Kichaka and made his dead body into several pieces. During the time of Pandava’s exile, they have hidden themselves in the Matsya Kingdom in different forms, which was ruled by King Virata. While Pandavas were doing different kind of jobs in the palace of King Virata, Ma Draupadi, who was disguised in the form of a servant maid, served to queen Sudeshna.
Once when Sudeshna’s brother Kichaka visited his sister’s palace, he was very much admired with the beauty of Ma Draupadi, and hence he tried to molest her in various ways. But finally Bheema killed Kichaka, and tear him into pieces and also made his dead body into a flesh ball. Bheema was able to do this act, since he was considered to be an aspect of Lord Vayu Bhagavan.
Bheema is also known as “BAHLIKA RAJA SAMHARA MOORTHY”, since he has killed King Bahlika during the Kurukshetra war, Bheema is also known as “DURYODANA SAMHARA MOORTHY”, since he has killed Duryodana with his powerful mace during the Kurukshetra war.
Bheema has learnt the art of handling the powerful weapon mace, from Krishna’s brother, Lord Balarama. Many of us are not aware, that Bheema has even learnt the art of playing the flute music from Lord Krishna.
During the time of his birth itself, Bheema had broken a big stone into pieces. Since Bheema is an aspect of Lord Vayudev, we can recite the powerful Mantra of Lord Bheema, “OM SRI VAYU PUTRA, BALAVAN, BALADEV PRIYA, SRI BHEEMASENAYA NAMAHA”. Bheema has even challenged Lord Hanuman for a fight, but after knowing about the powers of Hanuman, he surrendered at the holy feet of Hanuman. Bheema contains very good nature, like respecting elders, providing food to others, helping others, capability of handling any kind of weapons, courage, will power, bravery etc.
