Kausar Nag Yatra (Kramsar-Vishnupaad Yatra) is a historic pilgrimage organized during Naag Panchami in Jammu & Kashmir. In 2014, Kausar Nag Yatra is schedule to begin on July 30 and end on 3 August. This yatra is being held after few decades in this year.
According to the organisers of Yatra in Jammu & Kashmir, Kousar Naag Yatra from Kashmir side has been added to the Yatra calendar which will be conducted for the first time from Kongwatan after decades. The Yatra will be organized on Naag Panchami from 30th July to 3rd August, 2014 the details of which will be given later, he said.
The Yatra which is also going on from Jammu side for the last four years is also being organised from 30th July and the pilgrims from both sides will meet at Kousar Nag on Naag Panchami, Raina informed. Raina also announced the dates for the other regular Yatras of APMCC which include the Sixth Annual Yatra for historic Harmukh Ganga (Gangbal), which the APMCC started in 2009 after 100 years at the mountainous North East Harmukh Range, 14,500 ft above sea level.
The Yatra will be conducted by Harmukh Ganga (Gangbal) Trust (HGGT) and APMCC jointly from 31st August to 4th September, 2014 for which the registration will close on 12th May adding this year the Yatra will have the registration fee of Rs100 only. The Yatris for Gangbal will have to reach Zeshtha Devi Temple for onward journey by the evening of 31st August.
Another Annual Yatra of Mata Katyayani Ji at Kakran village of Kulgam Tehsil is also being organised in the month of July as the Third Annual Mata Katyayani Mahayagya Yatra which will be held from 3rd to 8th July, 2014 where a Mahayagya will be performed on Ashad Ashtami expecting hundreds of pilgrims.
The organisers also disclosed that Second Annual Dyneshwar Yatra to Dyneshwar Cave of Lord Shiva in Kaloosa Bandipore situated at 5,800 feet above sea level is also being organised jointly by APMCC and Shardha Mata Trust (SMT) Bandipore from 8th to 10th August, 2014.
