Kalyanotsavam Tirumala marks the hour-long celestial wedding ritual performed according to Vaikasa Agama Sastra for the Utsava Murthis of the Lord along with His consorts, Sri Devi and Bhu Devi in the Kalyana Mandapam. The priest conducts the marriage and an Archaka is consecrated to perform other rituals on behalf of the bridegroom.
The idols of the Lord and His brides face each other with a screen in between them. After the priests perform appropriate Homam, the bridegroom and the brides are allowed to see each other at the appropriate auspicious moment as the screen is removed. This is followed by Mangala sutra Dharana, Tahlambralu and then Lord and his consorts are garlanded.

Glad for your article. But today it is not easy to get a slot to book it. Secondly allowing only two peoples is another problem. Where would you leave your children? No one write in detail about the facilities for such. If by luck you book Kalyanautsavam then getting seperate darshan ticket is another question. Both should be made available together. Otherwise you would leave your children and go??
We performed Kalyana utsavam in Fanaswadi Balaji Temple, Mumbai, also at Dombivli, Maharashtra. Now Kandivli a Mass Kalyana utsavam happened two years back at Borivli grounds.
We did Kalyana Utsavam for Lord Subramanya and consorts at Chembur Murugan Temple. More Comfortable and peaceful darshan. TTD should change the procedure and arrange 10 times the present capacity so many peoples could avail the opportunity. Many free people just make it a tourist attraction and real spiritual peoples don’t get the opportunity when they wish for their prayers to present before God. Today you see the number of YouTube videos of Tickets and darshan news and also Trains journey publicity. But real traveller’s don’t get reservations.
