Kalyanotsavam in Balkampet Yellamma Temple, Hyderabad

Renuka Devi Kalyanotsavam in Balkampet Yellamma temple in Hyderabad is one the biggest temple festivals in and around Hyderabad and Secunderabad. It is celebrated for three days in Ashada Masam as per traditional Telugu calendar followed in Telangana. In 2024, Yellamma Kalyanotsavam at Balkampet temple will be celebrated from July 8 to July 10. Yellamma Kalyanotsavam is on 9 July 2024.

Edurukolu utsavam, Kalyanotsavam and Rathotsavam are three popular events during this religious extravaganza.

As per the temple administration, every year more than 5 lakh devotees are expected to visit the temple during this event.

Balkampet Yellamma temple in Hyderabad is one of the famous temples dedicated to Goddess Yellamma, a traditional manifestation of Goddess Parvati or Shakti.

Sri Yellamma Devasthanam is considered to be existing since 15^th century and has got today’s renovated form in the year 1919 as per the historical data available. The unique feature of this temple is the presiding deity of Yellamma lies 10 feet beneath the ground level (bhoogarbha swayambhu vigraham).

9 July 2024, Tuesday

4 AM : Nadaswara Mangala Vayidyalu, Abhishekam

8 AM : Sthapitha Devata Poojalu, Mahadivya Chandi Moolamantra Anushtana, Veda Parayanam

11.34 AM : Sri Ammavari Kalyanam (Magha Nakshatra Kanya Lagna Sumuhurtham)

12 PM : Sri Ammavari Kalyana Mangala Harathulu

6 PM: Sthapitha Devata Anushtanam

7.30 PM : Neerajana harathi Mantrapushpam, Prasadam distribution

10 July 2024, Wednesday

5 AM : Nadaswara Mangala Vayidyalu, Abhishekam
