Ambika Mata temple of Udaipur, Rajasthan is famous temple for its unique sculptures, architecture, inscription and craving besides religious and historical importance. Ambika Mata Shakti Peeth Temple is located in a village called ‘Jagat’, at a distance of 50 Kms from Udaipur.

The sculptures of temple show the talent of Mewar’s sculptors. The temple holds special place for the people who are interested in idols, sculptures and archeology. It also shows the life style of the people through beautiful portrayed. Historians conclude on the basis of the idols that the temple might have been important centre of the Shiv Shakti Peeth in fifth and sixth centuries. It is constructed in 96 AD. In 11th century the temple was renovated by Allat, erstwhile Mewar Rular.

Those places where the body parts of Goddess Sati fell down are known as Shakti Peeth. Goddess Sati offered herself to the yaja pyre (fire) on being insulted by her father Daksha at his palace. Udaipur is well connected district with all transport system. Dabok Airport is just 25 kilometers far from here and at 2 kilometers, Railway station lies. The Jagat Tempe is also well connected with regular bus route through which it is very easy to access Ambika Mata Temple. Udaipur is on the national highway No 8, so it is supplied with all major cities of Rajasthan.

This small but splendid in sculptors, inscriptions as well as archaeological point of views, was made up by Maharaja Jagat Singh Indoarmy temple surround by some other visit worthy places as lakes & hills.
