Ghat Chaturdasi is dedicated to the dead ancestors who had an accidental death. Tarpan pradhan or Pinda pradhan is the main ritual of the day. Brahmins are also offered food, clothes, and other dakshina.
Balbholaniteras or Kakbali, the ritual dedicated to dead children, is observed on the previous day of Shraddh Chaturdashi.
