Ekadashi in December 2019 are utmost meritorious. In December 2019, Ekadasi vrata dates are: December 8 & December 22. Both these Ekadasi are observed in Margashirsha month as per Amavasyant calendars (Marathi, Gujarati, Telugu, Kannada & Konkan Panchang).

As per Purnimant North Indian Hindi calendars, Mokshada Ekadashi falls in Margashirsha Month and Saphala Ekadashi falls in Poush Month.

8 December 2019 – Mokshada Ekadasi, Mauni Ekadashi, Gita Jayanti, Swargavathil Ekadashi.

As per Purnimant North Indian Hindi calendars, Mokshada Ekadashi falls in Margashirsha Month and Saphala Ekadashi falls in Poush Month.

It falls in Shukla Paksha of Margashirsha Month in North Indian Hindi calendars. Mokshada Ekadasi is also known as Mauni Ekadasi in North India. It is believed Bhagvad Gita was first told to Arjuna by Lord Krishna on this day hence ‘Gita Jayanti’ is also observed on this day.

22 December 2019 – Saphala Ekadashi

This Ekadashi falls on Krishna Paksha Ekadashi of Margashira month as per Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada and Telugu calendars. It is Maagh Maas Krishna Paksha Ekadashi in North Indian Hindi calendars. In 2019, it coincides with Margazhi Masam Ekadashi in Tamil calendars, Dhanu Masam Ekadashi in Malayalam calendars and Poush Maas Ekadashi in Bengali calendars and Nepali Patro.
