There is a famous temple dedicated for Ma Draupadi, also known as Draupadi Amman, and as Panchali Amman, and this temple is situated in Kadapperi village walaja, taluk, Ranipet, Tamil Nadu 632508, Mobile No. 098848 55888.
Recently in this temple, the marriage ceremony of Ma Draupadi Amman was held along with her lovely consort Arjuna, the famous Pandava. In this temple, fire walk ceremony also would be performed by the devotees during the time of festival occasions.
The Utsava idols of Ma Draupadi and Arjuna were decorated with flower and flower garlands, and golden ornaments were also adorned to these divine couple.Devotees were also circumambulated these Utsava Deities, for getting great spiritual pleasure. Special pujas were being done to Ma Draupati Amman followed with Abhishekham (Holy Bath). Deeparadhana was shown and devotees were also offered Amman Prasadam.
During this auspicious event, thousands of devotees were participated in and around Ranipet, and after having the wonderful darshan of Ma Draupadi Amman, they also had sumptuous meals in the afternoon.
Draupadi is a popular woman in Mahabharata,and, she is the sister of Lord Krishna. She is also considered as an aspect of Mata Parvati, and she has got hundreds of temples all over India and also in some foreign countries. People are visiting and worshipping her shrines and their wishes are fulfilled by the grace of the holy mother Draupadi amman. She is worshipped as Panchaliamman, Mariamman and Draupati Amman. Many people worship her as their Kula Devata.
Ma Draupati, though she was an aspect of Ma Shakti Devi, yet she suffered a lot in her life. She was severely humiliated by the Kauravas, and she was also badly commented by the Kauravas for being married to the five Pandavas. Yet, she didn’t get upset, but lead a disciplined life. She treated her consorts as respectful deities and paid her great respects to them. Still now lot of devotees consider her as their beloved deity, and I also like Ma Draupati for her good nature like generosity, chastity and adjustability.
There is a famous Panchali Amman Temple at Arumbakkam, Chennai, and those who have got an opportunity to visit Chennai can visit this famous temple also, since lot of miracles were happened in the lives of those who have visited the Arumbakkam Temple of Ma Panchali Amman.
