We have to consider the animals and the birds as the holy incarnations of the almighty, since these wonderful creations act as the divine deities and also as the divine Vehicles of the deities.
Bull must be worshipped by considering it to be an aspect of Lord Nandikeswara, Eagle must be worshipped similar to the holy “JATAYU”, a popular character in Ramayana, Garuda Bird, which resembles similar to eagle, must be worshipped by considering it as Lord Garuda.
Dogs are called as “BHAIRAVA”, and we must feed proper food to them, by considering them as the Divine Vehicle of Lord Kalabhairava. Crows are to be fed with food items, since crow is the vehicle of Lord Shaneeswara.
Goats are to be considered as Lord Daksha Bhagavan who contains a goat head, and he is the mind born son of Lord Brahma. Horses are to be worshipped by considering them as the great Lord “HAYAGRIVA”, Swans must be worshipped by considering them as the divine vehicle of Lord Brahma, parrot are to be worshipped by considering them as the aspects of the great Maharishi Sukha, who is also the son of Rishi Vedavyasa. Pigs must be treated respectfully, since they contain the features of Lord Varaha, a popular avatar of Lord Vishnu.
Buffaloes must be treated with respect, since they act as the Divine Vehicle of the death god, Lord Yama Dharma Bhagavan. Cows are to be treated with love and affection, since they are the successors of the Divine Cow, Kamadhenu. Fishes must not be killed for meat consumption, since they are to be considered as Lord Matsya, Fish avatar of Lord Vishnu.
Tigers and Lions are the divine vehicles of Ma Shakti Devi, and likewise all the females in the world must be treated with great respect, since they contain the features of Ma Shakti Devi. Elephants are to be worshipped by considering them as the Elephant god, Ganesha. Peacocks and cocks are to be worshipped, since both of them contain the aspects of Lord Muruga.
Snakes are the successors of Lord Adisesha, and hence we should never harm snakes, and we should provide milk to them in the snake burrows. Crocodiles are to be considered as the holy vehicle of Ma Ganga Devi, who is the worshipful River goddess. In a nutshell, we should treat all the animals and birds with full of love and affection, and we must never harm them, since they contain the features of the almighty.
