Warangal Bhadrakali Temple is one of the famous Bhadrakali Shakti Peethams in Telangana. The annual brahmotsavam of Sri Bhadrakali would be held from April 27 to May 5 at the ancient Bhadrakali temple in 2017. It is performed in Vaishakha Masam as per Telugu calendar.
Special pujas, spiritual discourses and cultural programmes during the evenings form part of the brahmotsavams. During Brahmotsavams the rituals such as ‘Bheri Puja’, ‘Dwajarohanam’, ‘Edurkolu Utsavalu’, ‘Sri Shankara Jayanthi’, ‘Rathotsavam’, ‘Churnotsavam’, and ‘Puspha Yagam’ are performed in grand manner.
The premises of Bhadrakali Temple and the Mahamandapam are decorated with electric lights. On 27 April 2017, at 10 AM, Bhadrakali Bhadreshwara Swamy Kalyanam utsavams will begin with Jyoti Prajwalana.
Daily, morning and evening Ammavari Vahanasevas will be performed. At 7 PM on 30 April, Sri Bhadrakali Bhadreshwara Swamy Kalyanam will be conducted. Prior to Brahmotsavams, Shastroktha Shuddhi was done amidst Vedic chants by Vedic Pandits and Archaka.
