Bhadrachalam Temple Story 12

Sri Rama treated it as the “order of Bhagavan”. After taking the leave from Agastya they reached “Panchavati” which was one of the most beautiful place in nature. The place was full of happy with merry full notes of waves of the River Godavari, the sky touched tallest trees, all the branches of the trees bounded with full of ripen fruits, sweet sound of various forest animals and various sweet sounds of birds. The Panchavati attracted seetha as told by Agastya.

Laxman, with the order of Rama, built the Kutira the Rellu grass, Madali leaves, and vedana leaves. Their “Kutira” became famous called Parnasala. They were spending their most happy life in the Parnasala. By doing service to Seetha and Rama, Laxmana felt the most devotional happiness. A small event became the origin of birth of “Bhadra” during that time. With the influence of Bhadra’s thapam, the city of Bhadradri originated. The story of Bhadra itself became “the Bhadrachala Ramayana”. The story of Bhadra was a small seed in the Ramanaya. Veda vyasa, the great saint described in detailed the story of Bhadra in “Brahmapuranam”. With the help of Brahmapuranam and grow their Mahatyam, we have to study the history of Bhadrachalam.

It was Thretayugam. It was the place of panchavati. With the most beloved services of Laxmana, Seetha and Rama were spending their life very happily. With the arrival of “Amani” (Vasantha) the complete forest became green, giving pleasure and happiness to them. Seetha appealed Rama, to make arrangements to see the natural greenish and the most beautiful area in that forest. Rama and Seetha started for vanavihar. The cuckoo bird welcomed them with sweet “kuhu- kuhu”. They toured happily in the mountains, sides of rivers, and small canals of the forest and enjoyed the beautiful nature. They felt very happy by looking at the lovely deers.

They immersed with joy by looking at the river Godavari which goes on tunings and turnings. The Dandakaranya itself paved the way for them as a heaven. The land became “Vihara Boohmi” for them. Seetha tired so much as she did not know sunshine and she did not touch the land for ever. Sree Rama saw the condition of Seetha. He smiled. He saw here and there for the resting place. He saw a big wide stone under the Bushes of pagodas. It seems to be a wide big stone. Both of them arrived there. The smell of pagodas and ponnala inculcated happiness to their minds and hearts. They thought that it was full bed with withered flowers. As Seetha tired so much she put her head on the foot of Rama and felt asleep for a while. The lord Rama felt very happy by taking the smell of pogada flowers and Seetha’s head on his foot.

One doesn’t know about one’s future. The wide, strong, and big stone became like “Bhadrudu” by touching the foot of Sree Rama and Seetha. The place itself became famous on the name of “Bhadrachalam”. He became the great saint of Badra Maharshi.
