Badrinath Temple, the prominent pilgrimage for Hindus, situated in Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand will be reopened on April 30, 2018 amidst the Vedic chants and pujas.
Generally, all Char Dham temples remain closed during the winter season. The shrine will be closed in the afternoon after performing Vedic rituals.
The kapat of Shri Badarinath Temple will open on 30 April 2018 at 4:30 AM.
The closing date and time (Muhurat) of Badrinath temple are decided on Dussehra day. For 2017, Badrinath Kapat will be closed on 19 November.
Badrinath Temple remains opened from April / May to the third week of November. Several millions of people visit the temple during these months. Apart from Badrinath, the other Char Dham Yatra temples are – Gangotri Temple, Yamunotri Temple and Kedarnath Temple.
