Badrinath Temple, the prominent pilgrimage for Hindus, situated in Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand will be reopened on May 6, 2017 amidst the Vedic chants and pujas.
Generally, all Char Dham temples remain closed during the winter season. The shrine will be closed in the afternoon after performing Vedic rituals.
The kapat of Shri Badarinath Temple will open on 6th May 2017 at 4:15 AM.
The closing date and time (Muhurat) of Badrinath temple are decided on Dussehra day. For 2017, Badrinath Kapat will be closed on 19 November.
Badrinath Temple remains opened from April / May to the third week of November. Several millions of people visit the temple during these months. Apart from Badrinath, the other Char Dham Yatra temples are – Gangotri Temple, Yamunotri Temple and Kedarnath Temple.
