Shanthi Amman Ashram
Arulmigu Sri Shanthi Amman Ashramam, Thandalaiputhur, Trichy…. It was only when I met Mr. Rajagopalan at Srivatsam Apartments, where I resided, that I came to know that he and his wife had taken Sanyasa Diksha in Ramanasramam. Mr. Rajagopalan told me that his wife passed away a few years ago and an Adhishthanam was erected for her in Trichy. Today (20.02.2024) I have gone to that wonderful Ashram along with Sri Rajagopalan Sir, and with few others, and enjoyed the divine vibration.

With great eagerness, he asked me to write about the temple of his wife. Here I have summarized what he said about him and about his revered wife, Arulmigu Sri Shanthiammai, who had become an auspicious deity (Amman):
The following points were flown from the mouth of Sri Rajagopalan:
I was born in Mannargudi and my wife was born in Pudukkottai. I retired from a private company in Trichy. We got married in 1983. In 1986, Guru has preached to us about taking Sanayasa Ashram. As per his instructions, from then on, we gave up the family life, and lived the life of a family ascetic (Without enjoying any sort of physical pleasures). But we lived without anyone knowing it. In 2019, Shanti Ammai has reached the feet of Guru on the Akshaya Tritiya day on May 7. Another disciple of our Guru, Balasubramania Swamigal, has an Ashram near Thuraiyur Pulivalam(Near to our Shanti Ammai Ashram).
According to his instructions, my wife’s Samadhi Shrine has been set up there. Sri Balasubramania Swamigal Adhishthanam is also situated there. His wife, Mrs. Vijayarani, is well managing the Ashram, and the pujas are being conducted in a proper manner.
The most amazing thing in this world, is that even though human beings die, everyone spends their lives as if they were going to be live here forever. If blessed Saints and Saviours can be born as human beings, attain immortality, and enjoy eternal bliss, why can’t we? Why should we fall into death again and again, similar to other ordinary people did? The Supreme Almighty only created this rare human being, and not you! What, then, is the use of receiving this precious human birth from the Almighty? The only way to thank God is to attain the bliss of immortality.
Humans may argue that this immortality is for specific souls only, not for all. If that had been the case, Thirumoolar would not have sung in Thirumanthiram for everyone in this world, “Get the pleasure of staying with the god forever”.
My wife and I have lived together in the manner described above, and since she was immortalized a few years ago by the grace of our Sadhguru, I still send my prayers through meditation to her, and myself and others who believe in this immortal knowledge, receive blessings from her continuously.
Let us also surrender at the lotus feet of our revered Mother Shanti Ambal, and sing her praises with ecstasy.
