Ammapally Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple.. There is a wonderful temple for Lord Rama, and it is situated at Ammapally which is located at a distance of 30 km from Hyderabad, and 5 km from Shamshabad Bus Stop. Sri Sita Rama Chandra Swamy Temple of Ammapally is a very ancient Temple and famous for film shootings. This is also considered to be one of the popular tourist places in Hyderabad. The temple is considered to be sacred temple. The temple was built in the ancient traditional South Indian architectural style, with a series of smaller shrines surrounding it.

The Rama temple was supposed to have been built by Vengi kings in 13th century but the main Rama idol was believed to be1000 years old! We can also notice a large image of Lord Vishnu who is in Yoga Nidra form (sleeping posture) above the gateway of the tower.

The Idols of Rama, Sita and Laxmana are beautifully carved from a single rock. Anjaneya, usually accompanying Lord Rama, is not seen in the main sanctum. Instead, Anjaneya Swamy idol is placed near the Dwaja Sthambam facing Sri Rama.

There is a large temple pond which is very ancient. The pond gives good relief to the pilgrims, and relieves their stress, tensions and sorrows. The surroundings of the pond are filled with coconut trees. There is a mandapam located just opposite to the temple.

Telugu film industry loves Ammapalli Temple since film shootings done at this temple would become massive hits with the blessings of Sri Sita Rama Swamy.

Sri Rama Navami festival is celebrated with great passion at this temple every year which would occur during April month.

The temple Timings are: 6 AM – 1 PM and 4 PM – 7 PM.

We can also peacefully sing some of the wonderful songs in praise of the brothers of Lord Rama in the temple premises.

Oh, the great Bharata! I praise, praise and praise you, and there is no end for my praise. You are the most powerful divine weapon of Lord Vishnu and you are the great Chaktratalvar! You are the form of Lord Vishnu, and that’s why Lord Vishnu is also called as “SRI CHAKRATIPATI”.

Oh, the great Bharata! I praise, praise and praise you, and there is no end for my praise. You are the destroyer of the enemies of Lord Rama, and you are destroying our sins, enemies and diseases also.

Oh, the great Bharata! I praise, praise and praise you, and there is no end for my praise. Apart from showing your selfless devotion on Lord Rama, you have also showed great love and affection to your brothers Lakshmana and Shatrugna.

Oh, the great Bharata! You have faithfully served your brother Lord Rama till the time of your end, and during the Krishna Avatar, you (In the form of Sudarsana Chakra), have destroyed the bad people like Sishubala, and you have praised Lord Vishnu through spiritual songs by taking the form of Sri Tirumalisai Alvar.

Oh, the great Bharata! I praise, praise and praise you, and there is no end for my praise. You occupy a permanent place in the Ramayana, and those who remember Rama would remember you also for your selfless devotion on Lord Rama.

Oh, the great Bharata! I praise, praise and praise you, and there is no end for my praise. Apart from Ramayana, your good deeds are mentioned in various other ancient Puranas, Ithikasas, Vedas and you are the best brother of Lord Rama. Even during the time of your sleep, your lips would utter, “RAMA”, “RAMA, “RAMA”.

Oh, the great Bharata! I praise, praise and praise you, and there is no end for my praise. Even the entire worlds might submerge into the ocean, the saints, sages and demi gods might die, the planets, stars, sun and the moon might fall down from the skies, but your name and fame would never die, even during the time of the deluge (Maha Pralaya).

Oh, the great Bharata! I praise, praise and praise you, and there is no end for my praise. You are the soul of Lord Rama, you are the activating force of Lord Rama, you are dear to Ma Sita, and you have been praised even by the Bhagavathas like Prahalada, Dhruva, Narada and Sri Tumburu Bhagavan. You are shining very brightly and you always attain victory in the wars. You are very generous to the Ayodhya people. You are the most important devotee of Lord Rama, and you are the perfect servant of Lord Rama.

Those who recite the above praise of Bharata with sincerity would get the entire grace of Lord Rama, and they would also be treated as if they chanted the Rama Mantra, “JAI SRIRAM”, for one hundred and eight times, and they would be blessed by the 33 Crores of Devas from the heaven!

We can find you in the places where Saints, Sages and noble people would dwell, and your name also would be recited in the temples of Lord Rama.

Oh, Sri Shatrugna, the holy brother of Lord Rama, Lord Rama considered you as his precious GEM, and you have been praised and praised by the devotees of Lord Rama due to your good qualities.

Oh, Sri Shatrugna, the holy brother of Lord Rama, you are also praised by Lord Hanuman, you are the one who is capable of burning the sins, diseases and sufferings of your devotees, you are the one who would even grant liberation to your devotees.
