63-feet Ganesha idol in Vijayawada is the biggest Ganesha idol ever for Vijayawada city. In 2015, Vinayaka Chavithi Navaratri Utsavalu have begun on 17 September and will conclude on September 27 with Ananta Chaturdashi Vinayaka Nimajjanam.
The organizers of this eco-friendly Clay Ganesha idol are – Dundee Ganesha Seva Samiti (DGSS). It is installed at Ghantasala Music College Grounds, Vijayawada.
This Ganapathi statue is holding 6,300 kgs laddu on its hand. This Laddu is being prepared by Tapeswaram Sweet makers.
For this Vinayaka, 30 tonnes of iron and 50 tonnes of clay were used. This Ganesha is in Natya Ganesha posture.
