Tala Barowari Durga Puja is one of the oldest Sarbojanin Durgotsab in Kolkata, celebrating their 89th year in 2011. This puja is filled with innovative ideas mixed with India’s rich culture and art. It begins on 1 October and ends on 6 October 2011. For 2011, the theme of the pandal is ‘Mukh dhake ki Bigyapone’.
Goddess Durga arrives on an elephant and departs on a palanquin on year 1418 as per the bengali calendar (Durga puja 2011 English calendar).
