Amavasya or Amavasy, No Moon day in Hinduism, in July 2010 is Ashad Amavasya (Ashad month Amavasy) in North Indian Hindi calendars. July 2010 Amavasya date is July 11. Amavasya begins at 4:10 am on July 11 and ends on 1:10 am on July 12. Sampurn Surya Grahan will take place on 11 July 2010. This total solar eclipse will not be visible in India.

For Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, and Gujarati people, July 11 2010 Amavasya is also known as Vat Amavasya Vrata (Vata Savitri Vrat – Amavasya paksha).
