How to do Soubhagya Gauri Vratam? What is the procedure of Soubhagya Gouri Vratham? Here you can find all the details about Sowbhagya Vratha vidhanam. Soubhagya Gauri vratham is observed several times in a year but the main puja date or day may fall in March – April (Chaitra month). It is also known as Chaitra Gauri Vratam. To perform this vrata, women observe fasting or upavasam on previous day evening. In 2013, Soubhagya Gauri Vrata date is April 13.
On the day of Soubhagya gouri vrata, women perform ceremonial bath and keep puja place clean. Gauri Mata is installed with haldi powder (Pasupu gauri / Haridra Gouri). Lord Ganesh puja is observed before starting Gauri puja. Gauri is worshipped with Shodashopachar and with Gauri Astottaram. After the puja, Lord Shiva and Goddess Gauri are worshipped with ‘Damanam or ‘davanam or ‘Davana (leaves of Artemisia Pallens – highly valued in the making of floral decorations and oils). Damana puja is one of the main abhishekams during the puja. Naivedyam is offered to the deities.
