Ganesh Navratri, Ganesh Utsav or Ganesh Chaturthi Navratri, is celebrated from Ganesh Chaturthi day which is considered as the birth day of Lord Ganesh. In 2023, Ganesh Navratri begins on September 18-19 and ends on September 28 with Anant Chaturdasi.
The 9-nights of Ganesh festival begins on fourth day in bright half of Bhadrapad month (Bhadrapad Shukla Chaturthi). On the last day, Ganesha idols that are worshipped during Ganpati festival are immersed in water (Ganesh Visarjan / Ganapathi Nimmajjanam).
