why are south Indian Ganesha idols for worship with right sided trunks unlike north sided Ganesha idols?
which is the correct form of the idol and in which direction should hte idol face for sthapana!
many thanks for your ongoing informative site.

  3. Please calculate the timezone of your place in USA with Indian Standard Time.. I think it falls after noon on 31 August 2011 in USA… Tritiya ends at 11.45 am as per Texas timezone… The Amritakaalam for Ganesh Chaturthi Puja is between 11.55 am to 1.20 pm (Texas). New Jersey is 1 hour ahead of Texas… so it will be 12.55 to 2.20 pm.
