This wonderful Vishnu Bhujangam Stotra was composed by Sri AdiShankara and he had written this Stotra near his mother, when she was about to die. Adishankara had recited this popular Stotra, in order to make his mother to attain salvation.After he completes this Divine Stotra, the Divine attendants of Lord Vishnu came to his place and took the departed soul of his mother to the Vaikunta. He has introduced this Stotra to the world in a selfless manner, in order to make others also to get benefited with this Stotra.

It is believed that whoever recites this Divine Stotra would get a painless and a fearless death, and based on their karmic deeds, they would be placed in the Divine worlds. Hence let us keep chanting this marvellous stotra in order to get salvation after our death.

SRI VISHNU BHUJANGAM

I offer my humble Salutations to the God who is the founder of the Vedas, Who is the Lord of the universe, who never dies, Who does not attracted with sensual pleasures and he is the one, who is the true god.

I offer my humble salutations to the god, who is very soft and gentle in nature, who is the superior among the Devas, and who cannot be known fully by anyone.

I offer my humble salutations to the god,who is in the form of shining light, and whose brightness is equivalent to millions and millions of suns, and he is the one, who cannot be defeated by anyone.

I offer my humble salutations to the god, who contains a shining body, whose appearance is very handsome, and he is the one, who is always surrounded with sages, saints and the blessed persons in the Vaikunta, and he can be seen hugging his consort Ma Lakshmi in a pleasing manner.

I offer my humble salutations to the god, who wears various ornaments on his body, who appears with great divine beauty, and whose powers are unimaginable, unthinkable and unlimited.

I offer my humble salutations to the Lord, who does meditation in his serpent bed, Adishesha, and he can be seen in the form of sleeping posture in his Divine abode Vaikunta.

I offer my humble salutations to the great Lord, who attends his devotees during their urgent call, by riding in his Garuda Vahana.

I offer my humble salutations to the Lord, who is called by various names like Madhava, Madhusudana, Mukunda, Achuta and Ananda.

I offer my humble salutations to the Lord to remove the darkness in my life, and he would brighten my life.
