Lord Venkateswara is also called as Lord Venkatakrishnan, since our great Lord Vishnu has taken the Venkateswara avatar immediately after the completion of his Sri Krishna Avatar! During the beginning of KaliYuga, Lord Vishnu was supposed to have taken the Venkateswara Avatar. While Ma Yashoda was the foster mother for Lord Krishna, during her next birth, she was Ma Vakula Devi, also called as Ma Vakulamaliga, who was the foster mother for Lord Venkateswara!

During ancient times, when some staunch devotees of Lord Krishna who were also considered as noble saints visit the holy Tirumala Hills, for their eyes, Lord Venkateswara had appeared in the form of Lord Krishna!

In the excellent text, Sri Venkateswara Mahatmyam, Lord Venkateswara is described as beautiful Krishna! And in the Venkateswara Namavali also, Lord Venkateswara was mentioned as Lord VenkataKrishna, and from this, we could come to a conclusion, that both of these marvellous deities are one and the same.

Once Lord Venkateswara has played dice game with his best devotee, Sri Bavaji, and likewise Lord Krishna used to play dice game with his consorts, and also with some of his friends and devotees!

Tirupati Laddu is very much liked by the devotees of Lord Venkateswara, since it was very much liked by Lord Venkateswara himself! While he has stayed in the hut of his foster mother Ma Vakula Devi, he used to consume lot of ghee Laddus, and likewise, Lord Krishna used to consume lot to butter and butter made sweets like Laddus!

Actually the name “GOVINDA” represents only our Krishna, since he has grazed the cows and the word “GO” refers to our holy mother cow. Likewise, in the Tirumala Temple, we could find the chanting of “GOVINDA”, “GOVINDA”, by most of the devotees of Lord Venkateswara, and some of the devotees even used to recite “GOPALA”, “MURARI”, “KANNA”, which are the precious names of our Lord Krishna. The main purpose of writing this article is, still some Krishna devotees ignores to worship Lord Venkateswara, since they find some differences between these two supreme deities!
