Vasuki | Serpent God, brother of Mata Manasa Devi

Vasuki is considered as the king of serpent as per Hinduism and Buddhism texts. He contains the divine gem on his head, and the divine gem gives more attractiveness to his body.

Vasuki is the brother of Mata Manasa Devi, a famous snake goddess, mostly worshipped by the North Indian people, and in Tamil Nadu, she is worshipped as Nagathamman. It is believed that Lord Shiva is wearing Vasuki in his neck.

During the Tretayuga, Vasuki helped the divine demigods and demons for the churning of the divine ocean, in order to get the divine nectar from the ocean. Vasuki is mentioned in many Hindu texts and Puranas, and considered as very mighty snake among other nagas.

Vasuki contains great wisdom, braveness and courage and he is the devotee of Lord Shiva. He is also the brother of Takshaka and Adisesha, divine bed of Lord Vishnu, and the son of Rishi Kashyapa and Mata Kadru. By worshipping Vasuki Bhagawan, and by chanting his names, we can get the grace of Lord Shiva, and we can get relieved from poisonous diseases, snake bites and from all other types of deadliest viruses.

Let us worship Lord Vasuki and be blessed.
