Vaidya Venkateswara, the Divine Doctor Lord Venkateshwara Swamy…
Some of us would be aware of that the idol of Lord Venkateswara has a temperature of around 110 F during early Morning time, and sweat remains in the idol of Lord Venkateswara even after the performance of the Abhishekam, also called as Holy Bath.
The Temple priests would remove the sweating by using a silk cloth on the idol of Lord Venkateswara. Mostly the idol of Lord Venkateswara generates lot of heat, and the reason for that was mentioned in the sacred text, Sri Venkateswara Mahatmyam, an ancient text and a golden treasure which describes about the complete details of Lord Sri Venkateswara Perumal.
Lord Vishnu dwells in the form of Lord Venkateswara, and he is considered to be a protection deity. Since it is the duty of Lord Venkatswara to protect his devotees in this difficult Kali Yuga, he used to bear the diseases of the devotees on his body, and due that, lot of heat generates from his body. Some of the people consider Lord Venkateswara as an ‘ANGRY GOD’, due to the heat generation out of his body. But actually, Lord Venkateswara is a soft and a lenient god, and he also forgives the mistakes of his devotees and also removes their sickness and sins.
After I read about this, I shed joyful tears, and I have also become a staunch devotee of Lord Venkateswara. Some of us, used to comment about Lord Venkateswara as a wearer of rich costumes. Lord Venkateswara used to wear those nice garments, in order to control the heat generation from his body. But without knowing about all these things, some of us used to comment about him in a wrongful manner. Lord Venkateswara is said to be the giver of boons and the fulfiller of wishes.
In the Venkateswara Mahatmya, it is also mentioned, that for some of his staunch devotees who suffers from diseases, Lord Venkateswara has even appeared in the form of a physician and had given proper Ayurveda medicines to them, due to that, they also got rid from their diseases after they consumed the medicines from the hands of our Divine Doctor, Sri Tirupati Balaji.
