Lord Brahma

The term upaveda is associated with certain kind of arts. The god for the Vedas is Lord Brahma. In order to give special importance to certain kind of arts, he has created a separate Veda called as Upaveda, and it is associated with certain special subjects, which are as follows:-

For knowing about the importance of Archery in detail, we must refer to the holy Text, Dhanurveda, which is associated with the Yajur Veda.

For knowing about the speciality of Architecture in a detailed manner, we must refer to the holy text, Sthapatyaveda, which is associated with the Rig Veda.

For knowing about the significance of Music and sacred dance, we must refer to the sacred text, Gandharva veda, which is associated with the Sama Veda.

For learning about Ayurveda Medicine, we must refer to the sacred text, Ayur Veda, which is associated with the Atharvaveda.

But at present, the ancient art form Archery has lost its significance, though some of the youngsters used to actively participate in the Archery competition which would be held in the Olympics. But still now, due to its ancient significance, anyone can study this ancient form of brave arts, in order to sanctify our great Pandava Prince Arjuna!

Architecture still gains more specialisation, especially amongst the builders, and also amongst the buyers! Without the field of architecture, the buildings cannot be proper structured.

Music and dance are considered to be of divine forms, since our great sages and celestials like Narada and Tumburu are very fond of music. Likewise, dance gains much prominence especially among Hindus, since our great Nataraja, a form of Lord Shiva, is a great celestial dancer, who used to happily dance in his abode, the Sacred Kailash.

Ayurveda Medicine is an ancient form of medicine, and still people are getting recovered from their diseases by taking the Ayurveda Medicines. Lord Dhanvantri, the god of Ayurveda and an aspect of Lord Vishnu, is considered to be the ancient Ayurveda Physician, and he was mentioned in various holy texts of Hinduism.
