Sita Navami or Janki Navami is the birthday of Goddess Sita, one of the divine incarnations of Goddess Lakshmi. Seeta Navami is observed on Vaishakha Shukla Navami, the ninth day in bright half of Vaisakh month. In 2026, Sita Navami date is April 25.
Some communities in South India and North India observe Sita Jayanti on Magh Krishna Paksha Astami day.
Goddess Sita is the divine consort of Lord Sri Rama Chandra. She is believed as one of the most worshipped Pativratas in Hinduism. Janki Mata is known for her patience, and devotion towards her husband Lord Sri Ram.
