Ugadi Asthanam at Tirumala Tirupati Temple… The temple court-Asthanam in view of Telugu Ugadi-Sri Durmukhinama Samvatsaram will be observed at Lord Venkateswara temple at Tirumala on April 8.

In connection with the Ugadi (Telugu New Year’s Day) Asthanam will be conducted at the Bangaru vakili inside the sanctum sanctorum which shall be presided over by the Commander-in-Chief of the Lord’s Army, Lord Viswaksena in the presence of the Utsava deities of Lord Venkateswara and Goddesses Sridevi and Bhudevi. This is followed by Panchanga Sravanam by the pundit. Later prasadams will be distributed.

Asthanam will be organised soon after the conclusion of the pre-dawn rituals inside the temple, all of which shall be observed in Ekantham.

The temple administration on its part also has dispensed with certain day time arjitha sevas falling on friday including Nijapada Darsanam, Kalyanotsavam, Brahmotsavam, Unjal seva and Vasanthotsavams inside the temple.
