Spiritual Trip to Erode Angalamman Temple… Angalamman as we all know is an aspect of Ma Adhiparashakthi, and she is also considered to be a form of Kali. We can find so many temples of Ma Angalamma which are scattered throughout Tamil Nadu. Angalamman appears soft and gentle, and her consort mostly seems to be Lord Veerabhadra. When Lord Shiva decided to destroy the Yagna of Lord Daksha, he created Ma Bhadrakali and Veerabhadra from his powers, and send them to destroy the yagna of Daksha.
Spiritual Travels reduces stress, gives happiness, provides great energy levels, heals our mind related diseases, gives refreshment, motivates us and in total, holy travels would surely bring a very good change in our life.
There is a wonderful temple dedicated for Ma Angalamman, who is also known as Veerabhadra Ma Kali Devi, at Keerakara Veedhi(also known as Valayalkara Veedhi), in Erode, Tamil Nadu, and this temple Amman is my Kula Devata. In the past three years, due to her utmost grace, I had got the opportunity of visiting her temple for about twelve times from my place, Kalyanapuram, near Kumbakonam, and for visiting her temple, I had preferred only bus as my travel mode, since I found it as a convenient and safest mode of transport.
This temple is situated some few kms faraway from Erode Bus Stand, and once we enter inside the temple, we could find Lord JalaVinayaka who welcomes us with his mesmerising smile! Apart from the main Angalamma Shrine, we can also see innumerable shrines of the deities like Lord Muruga, Veerabhadra, Shiva Lingam, Lord Ayyanar, Karupparayar, Paavadairayan, Esaki Amman, Sadaichi Amman, Pechi Amman and Madhurai Veeran. This temple would be crowded during Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and especially at Aadi month, we could witness a huge gathering of devotees who would stood before the holy mother, by chanting some Mantras seeking for her immense blessings.
This temple Angalamma is supposed to be the Kula Devi for lot of people of Tamil Nadu. We could see even some North Indian devotees in this place especially during Thai Month, January to February! During the Tamil month of Aadi, special pujas would be made to Amman, and she would be decorated with flower garlands, and saris would be offered to her by the devotees, and devotees would joyfully celebrate this month, by offering Sweet Pongal which is most popularly known as Sakkarai Pongal, and Panchamirtham to the holy mother, and the holy mother would look very much attractive and beautiful, and she would steal the hearts of her devotees. Those who are Interested to donate money in the form of cash or in kind, can contact the Temple In charge, Mr.B.Jeganathan, and his Mobile Number is 99443 71481.
I have also put some of my reasonable expectations to this Holy Mother, Angalamma, and I am very much confident that sooner or later, my wishes would be fulfilled with her blessings.
So far, I have written thousands of articles about deities, saints, scholars and temples, but however, I am finding it very satisfactory, whenever I write an article about my Kula Devata, Ma Angalamman.
Our human life consists of full of dangers and difficulties. In order to lead a highly prosperous and peaceful life, we have to decrease our worldly pleasures, and we must have to increase more and more spiritual pleasures. Time lost cannot be restored again, hence before our death, we have to gain lot of good karmas, by continuously worshipping Ma Shakti Devi, not only during the Aadi month, but on all other months also. Our life is too short, hence let us make it smart by visiting this wonderful precious divine temple of Ma Angalamma.
