The famous shrine of Goddess Sri Padmavathi Devi at Tiruchanoor will be closed for over 10 hours from 6pm of July 16 till 5am of July 17 in connection with lunar eclipse.
Speaking to media persons at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala, the JEO said, on that day, the darshan will last only from 8am to 10am and again from 9:30pm to 12:30 midnight, hardly for five hours.
The temple doors will again re-open after performing Suddhi, Punyahavachanam etc. The sarva darshan of the presiding deity will commence after 7:30am on July 17. Apart from Goddess shrine, the other sub-shrines including Sri Krishna Swamy, Sri Sunderaraja Swamy, Sri Surya Narayana Swamy are also remain closed till the eclipse phase is completed.
TTD has cancelled Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva on 16 July and 17 July in the temple.
