Tandur Jathara 2018 | Bhavigi Bhadreshwara Swamy Temple Jathara (Bhadrappa Temple Brahmotsavam)

Tandur Jathara (Bhavigi Bhadreshwara Swamy Temple Jathara) is a famous temple festival at Tandur town of Vikarabad district in Telangana state. Bhavigi Bhadreshwara Swamy Temple, popularly referred to as “Bhadrappa Temple” is one of the renowned Shiva Temples in the area.

Bhadrappa Temple Brahmotsavam begins on Chaitra Pournami and ends on Chaitra Shukla Ashtami, eighth day in Chaitra Masam as per Telugu Panchangam.

In 2018, Bhadrappa Jathara has begun on 31 March and will end on 8 April.

Schedule of Tandur Temple Brahmotsavam 2017 – Daily Pallaki Seva

31 March 2018 – (10 PM) – From Bhadreshwara Swamy Temple to Gandhi Chowk – Rachanna Temple, at 1.30 in the night the Pallaki returns to Bhadrappa Temple.

1 April 2018 – (10 PM) – From Bhadreshwara Swamy Temple to Gandhi Chowk – Rachanna Temple, at 1.30 in the night the Pallaki returns to Bhadrappa Temple.

2 April 2018 – (10 PM) – From Bhadreshwara Swamy Temple to Gandhi Chowk – Rachanna Temple Gunj area, at 3’0 clock in the night the Pallaki returns to Bhadrappa Temple.

3 April 2018 – (in the night 2’0 clock) – From Bhadreshwara Swamy Temple to Herurugalli, Kalva Bichaiah home, Mainroad (Gandhi Chowk), Old Vegetable Market and Rachanna Temple, at 1 PM, the next day, the Pallaki returns to Bhadrappa Temple.

4 April 2018 – (at 4 PM) – Pallaki seva begins from Bhadreshwara Swamy Temple to Sharanu Basaveshwara Swamy Temple to Nagareshwara Temple, Gandhi Chowk, Bhadreshwara Chowk – Kalasham Ooregimpu. At 6 PM Kalasham will be installed on the chariot. At 11.05 PM, Rathotsavam begins at Bhadrappa Temple and goes till Basavanna Katta and returns to the temple.

5 April 2018 – In the night at 1’0 clock – Pallaki Seva, Bhadreshwara Devasthanam to Gandhichowk, Jumma Masjid, Murshad Dargah, Basavannakatta to Bhadrappa Temple.

Bhadrappa Temple situated exactly at the main chowrasta of Tandur, was constructed in 1940 in Veera Shaiva Agama procedure.

Other than Temple Brahmotsavams, Maha Shivaratri, Magha Masam, Monthly Masa Shivaratri, Pradosha Pooja, Shravana Masam, Navaratri Utsavalu, Karthika Masam, etc. are the popular festivals at Tandur Bhadrappa Temple.
