Swami Govind Dev Giri Ji Maharaj

Swami Govind Dev Giri was born in 1949 in a Brahmin family at a small village in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. His birth name was Kishor Madangopal Vyas. He was a preacher about the importance of Sanatana Dharma all over the world. He performed religious discourses on Ramayan, Mahabharat, Hindu Puranas and Bhagavat Gita in various foreign countries.

He has studied the Vedas, Upanishads and all the Holy Scriptures at his young age itself.For further studies, he went to Varanasi and become a Pundit. He also learned Sanskrit language, Yoga and Meditation, and taught it to the students. He is having good disciples, who are also Vedic pundits and follows the path of Sanatan Dharma.

He was blessed by Kanchi Swami and he was praised by him.He has spent most of his income for the benefit of the society and also founded few educational institutions and Vedic schools. He also provided food to the poor students and educated them at free of cost.

He was awarded the title of ‘Paramhansa Sanyas’ by Satyamitrananda Giriji at Haridwar on the banks of the Holy River Ganges in the year 2006, and since becoming a saint, he has been known as Shri GovindDev Giriji Maharaj.
