Sri Brahma Deva Mahatmyam

Lord Brahma

Lord Brahma

In the Holy text, Sri Brahma Deva Mahatmyam, which was written by his four mind born sons, the great SanatKumaras, Lord Brahma is described as Adipurusha, the first and foremost god. In this text, Lord Brahma is described as the creator god and he has got powers even to protect and destruct the entire universe. Though it is believed that Lord Brahma was born from the naval of Lord Vishnu, but according to this Holy Text, Brahma was mentioned as a self-emanated one! And he has born on his own, and he didn’t take birth from the body of Lord Vishnu.

In fact, Lord Shiva was emanated only from the shoulders of Lord Brahma, but later he was described as a self-emanated one! In this text, it was mentioned, that only through the grace of Lord Brahma, the other two powerful deities have got sufficient powers. Ma Shakti Devi is also considered to be the daughter of Lord Brahma, but, later she has got independent powers after she got united with her lovely consort Lord Shiva. In the Brahma Deva Mahatmya Purana, Lord Brahma is described as the guardian of all the 14 worlds. Brahma must be considered to be an immortal one, and he has no end even after the completion of several Yugas.

We cannot describe this holy text as a false one, since it was written by the great sons of Lord Brahma Deva, the noble SanatKumaras. This four headed god is able to destroy the entire universe into ashes within a few seconds, even without getting permission from other superior gods like Shiva and Vishnu. When Brahma smiles, his creations get happy, and when Brahma sheds tears, his creations began to suffer from problems. Lord Brahma is surrounded by his mind born sons like Narada, Bhrigu, SanatKumaras, Pulastya, Marichi and ShankuKarna, and he very much likes to hear the Yazh music played by the celestial Gandharvas like Tumburu and Chitrasena.

In this holy text, Lord Brahma is mentioned as “DEVATI DEVA”, best among all other gods, “PARABRAHMA”, the Lord of the entire universe, “JOTHI SWAROOPA”, the Lord who appears in the form of fire flames, “AZHAGESA”, the four headed Lord looks very beautiful, “SARASWATI PATIYE”, the lovely consort of the Education goddess, Ma Saraswati, “DAKSHA PITA”, the father of the great Prajapati, Lord Daksha Bhagavan. “ATMA SWAROOPA”, the Lord who always dwell on the souls of his sincere devotees.

Hence, by considering the above holy text in our mind, let us always chant the glories of Lord Brahma Dev, in order to get permanent happiness in our life.
