Sri Bharati Tirtha Swami graces Harapanahalli

Sri Bharati Tirtha Swami graces Harapanahalli of Davangere District in March 2014. Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji is the Jagadguru of Sringeri Sharada Peetham.

The Jagadguru reached Harapanahalli of Davangere District in the evening of 26th Mar 2014 to a grand welcome arranged by the disciples of Harapanahalli. Some children were dressed up as Gods and Goddesses, while others sang and danced to a number of Bhajans as part of the Jagadguru’s welcome procession. In the Swagata sabha, stotras composed by Sri Adi Shankaracharya were rendered. The Jagadguru Mahaswamiji then gave a detailed Anugraha Bhashanam on greatness of the Avatara of Sri Adi Shankaracharya.

The Jagadguru said that He was visiting Harapanahalli after 25 years since his last visit in 1989. The Jagadguru also remembered the visit of His Guru, Srimad Abhinava Vidya Tirtha Mahaswamiji to Harapanahalli in the year 1968. The next day (27th March) being the Jayanti of 33rd Jagadguru Sri Sacchidananda Shivabhinava Nrisimha Bharati Mahaswamiji, the Jagadguru instructed the Pandits of the Peetham to chant the Stotras written by His Parameshti Guru. Members of the local Bhajan group were also taught the Stotrams.

After giving Darshan and blessing the devotees with Phala Mantrakshata & Tirtha Prasada, the Jagadguru graced the Chandihoma Poornahuti conducted on the occasion of Jagadguru’s visit to Harappanahalli. The Jagadguru left Harappanahalli in the evening and on the way to Shikaripura, visited Sri Satya Ganapati Devasthana at Harihara and blessed the devotees of Harihara.
