Salem Murugan Temple Statue Issue.. “Muruga means Beauty”, Hey Muruga what happened to you? Why you look differently? What is this Test for you? This is the question asked frequently by the devotees of Salem Raja Murugan Temple, and due to that now the temple Administration is in Action! The Salem Murugan statue, which has been heavily criticized on social media, will be consecrated after renovation, the temple administrators have informed.

A 56 feet high statue of Murugan has been constructed in the Raja Murugan temple at Dammed near Tharamangalam, Salem district. While the Kumbabhishekam for this is going to take place on full swing, many people are severely criticizing the appearance of the Murugan idol on social media.

Following this, a request was made on behalf of the people and devotees of the village that the idol should be consecrated only after its repair. Also, a petition was filed on behalf of the devotees at the Salem Taramangalam Police Station. Later, the police department consulted the temple administrators in this regard. Subsequently, the temple administration took steps to restore the idol. In this situation, the 56-feet tall Murugan statue located in front of the temple has been covered with a cloth to repair it and the work is being carried out intensively. Also, it has been informed on behalf of the temple administration that they are going to conduct Kumbabhishekam in the temple where these works have been completed.

Meanwhile, reports have surfaced that the designer of this Murugan idol has only designed idols up to a maximum height of 10 feet, and this is the first time he has designed such a tall idol. The face and body of Lord Muruga in the idol of Lord Muruga has gone viral on social media. When asked about this, the idol designer said, “I have never designed a Murugan statue anywhere. All I know is the statue of Muneeswaran. That’s what I’ve designed so far,” he said. The founder president of the temple, said that the temple administration has decided to renovate the Murugan idol as per the demand of the devotees. It is said that Rs 40 lakh has been spent on this Murugan idol so far.
