Sadaichi Ammal

Sadaichi Ammal (20th century AD) was an ardent devotee of Sri Seshadri Swamigal, and lived in Tiruvannamalai, and served Sri Seshadri Swamigal in a pleasing manner. She had provided food and milk to Sri Swamigal throughout her life. She also realized the greatness of Swamigal and worshipped him similar to her parents, guru and god.

Several times, she got the divine bliss through the grace of Sri Seshadri. Once she had seen Lord Indra, Rudra and several other gods from the hands of Guru Seshadri, and shared her joyful feelings and happiness among others. She was asked by Swamigal to chant the “OM NAMAH SHIVAYA” mantra on a daily basis in order to ward off the evils from the mind and body.

Since Swamigal would not sit in one place, and used wander from place to place in Tiruvannamalai, she would search him like a child, and provide food to him. She also used to scold him playfully, but she gave proper respect to him. It is believed that after her death, she has attained SALVATION.

Let us worship the holy mother of Tiruvannamalai and be blessed.
