Guru Raghavendra Swamy of Mantralayam
Sri Raghavendra Stotram was composed by Sri Appanacharya, who was the chief disciple of Guru Raghavendra, and he has written this wonderful song due to the blessings of Guru Raghavendra.
The contents contained the Stotra are as follows:
The great Guru Raghavendra would make us to cross the ocean of life and he is considered similar to Guru Brihaspati with regard to his wisdom.
This Madhwa Guru never find any difference between poor and rich and he is sincerely meditating on Lord Rama for several years from his Brindavana Shrine.
Sri Raghavendra is the giver of everything in this world, like the divine cow Kamadhenu, and he is also considered as the wish fulfilling tree Kalpavriksha. Those who sincerely fall at his feet their entire sins would be destroyed and he would protect them throughout their life.
Sri Raghavendra, who is the sincere devotee of Lord Vishnu, would bless me and grant my reasonable needs and fulfill my desires.
He is a supreme personality, and he would burn all of our miseries and sorrows, and also destroys the evil effects of the planetary positions.
He contains very good qualities and he is praised by all of his devotees, and his significance can be full known only by his true devotees.
Let the Guru Raghavendra grant me good health, wealth and all kinds of prosperity in my life, and let me remove the diseases from my body.
The holy River Thungabhadra acts as your divine mother, and with your grace, we would be purified by taking bath in the Thungabhadra River.
The water which flows at your holy lotus feet, destroys all the miseries, and gives goodness in our lives.
Just by getting the darshan of the holy guru for one time, would wash out all the problems in our life, and the holy guru would make us to easily breathe in this world.
Guru Raghavendra is a learned Guru, and he is still propagating the principles of Madhwa, through his devotees.
Let the great Saint Raghavendra, takes away all of our fear, and gives good wisdom, and name and fame.
Raghavendra,defeats several scholars in the debates, and spreads the “HARI BHAKTI” amongst the masses.
Guru Raghavendra, who got the divine vision of Lord Vishnu for several times in his life,
let him destroy the bad thoughts in our mind, and makes us into pure and pious.
Guru Raghavendra, is a merciful and straight forward saint, who only blesses his devotees, and he never get angry with his devotees.
By frequently chanting the powerful mantra, “Om Sri Raghavendraya Namaha” with sincere devotion on the holy guru, we would get fulfilled all of our reasonable desires.
Let the great Guru who has the clear understanding about the almighty destroy the sickness in our body and gives peace of mind.
He is the one, who does sincere prayers for all the 24 hours in a day.
By circumambulating the Brindavana of Guru Raghavendra, we would get the effect of visiting the holy places like Kashi, Badrinath and Kedarnath, and by sprinkling the holy Teertha from the Raghavendra Brindavan, we would get the effect of visiting and sprinkling all the sacred Rivers in the world.
By singing songs on Guru Raghavendra is similar to reading Vedas and other holy books.
By worshipping the divine guru, even a blind person would get vision, a dumb person would be able to speak, and a deaf would be able to hear.
By reciting this divine stotra regularly, we would get the grace of Guru Raghavendra throughout our life, since this strotra is accepted and praised by Lord Hayagreeva himself, a form of Lord Vishnu.
