Plavotsavam in Karvetinagaram Venugopalaswamy Temple (Theppotsavam)

Plavotsavam (Theppotsavam) is a boat festival celebrated in all Vaishnava temples mainly in Tirumala Tirupati. Karvetinagarm Venugopalaswamy Temple is a popular temple governed under the management of TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams).

In 2018, Karvetinagaram Teppotsavam begins on 23 August and ends on 25 August. It is celebrated in Shravana Masam (prior to Shravana Purnima) as per Telugu calendar.

Every day there will be Snapanam to the deities between 9am and 10.30am. Teppotsavams will be observed between 6pm and 7.30pm every day.

Meanwhile the related wall posters were released in Sri KRT in Tirupati by DyEO Smt Jhansi Rani.

Sri Venugopalaswami Temple is situated in Karvetinagaram (near Puttur), 48 km from Tirupati.

The main deity of the temple is Sri Venugopalaswami with His consorts – Sri Rukmini Ammavaru and Sri Satyabhama Ammavaru. The temple timings are 0600 to 1100 hrs and 1600 to 2000 hrs every day.
