Pearls Ganesha idol in Hindinagar, Goshamahal in Hyderabad will add glitter for Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations 2013 in the City of Pearls. Six youngsters have teamed up for this mega event with the name ‘Bala Yuva Mandal’. This seven-feet Ganapati idol adorned with American diamonds and pearls will be installed at Hindinagar in Goshamahal.
This jewel-studded Ganesha has got 12,500 American diamonds, bought from Surat, and 10,000 China pearls and Basra pearls to shine throughout the Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations. Ganpathi Bappa will also be decorated with silver and gold jewelry.
The six-member team led by Akash Agarwal, a Journalism student, is very much happy that their jewel-studded Ganapati vigraham will steal the show this Ganpati season in Hyderabad.
Talking to Hindupad Akash said, “To bring the liveliness to the idol, special tilak and artificial eyes are odered from Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh. A special turban is also getting ready for Ganesha this time in Laad Bazaar, Charminar.”
The idol will be in the form of standing – on a conch. Even the mouse at the feet of Ganesha will also be decked with gold and silver ornaments.
Taking the immersion procedure, the organisers are not sure whether they immerse it in Hussainsagar lake or distribute the pearls and jewels to devotees… 🙂
Everyone of us take this as an initiative to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi festival in Eco-friendly manner and not add additional pollution to our environment.
