According to the Hindi traditional calendar, Krishna Paksha of an Adhika Masa or Adhika Masam, the Ekadashi that falls is known as Parama Ekadashi or Parama Ekadasi. This particular Ekadashi Vrat is largely dedicated and observed in order to please Lord Vishnu.
Among the Hindu devotees observing this particular Ekadashi Vrat or fast on this day is regarded to be highly beneficial. It is to be noted that Ekadashi Thithi is a popular thithi of Lord Vishnu. Therefore all the Hindu devotees of Lord Vishnu observe the fast or Vrat on this day.
It is to be remembered that reciting of slokas of Lord Vishnu or Vishnu Sahasranamam are to be done with great devcoation and dedication in order to please Lord Vishnu on the Parama Ekadasi or Parama Ekadashi day.
