Paadal Petra Sthalangal in Tirunelveli

Tirunelveli is a scared town that is located in the state of Tamil Nadu. This sacred town is located on the bank of Cauvery. Among the 275 temples that are listed in the Paadal Petra Sthalangal, just 2 temples are listed in this town. But it is to be noted that there are 5 other temples dedicated to Lord Shiva which is not listed in the list of Paadal Petra Sthalangal.

SankaranKoil temple is located at a distance of approximately 56 km from Tirunelveli. Kasi Viswanathar Koil is situated in the holy town of Tenkasi. Ramalingaswamy Koil is located in Panagudi that is nearly 54 km from Tirunelveli. Papavinaseswarar Koil, Papanasam and Athrinathr Koil, Sivasailam, Tirunelveli dist are 49 km and 60 km from Tirunelveli respectively.
