Trees, Mountains and Rivers are the true gifts of nature, and we could get highly excited, since these nature’s gifts are enriched with lot of divine beauty. Trees gives shelter to the people, and also gives fresh fruits, flowers and vegetables, which provides a great source of nutrient food stuff to the mankind. Trees also contain lot of medicinal properties, and some leaves of the trees even cures the mental disorders of the people.
In his Bhagavat Gita teachings, Lord Krishna tells, “among the trees, I am the holy fig tree, among the mountains, I am the holy Meru Mountain, among the Rivers, I am the sacred Ganges River”.
Hence, all these three natural gifts are to be considered as precious aspects of the god. Lot of trees must be planted, Mountains must be worshipped similar to the holy Mountain Kailash, and Rivers must be considered as holy mother goddesses.
Under the bottom of the trees like Vanni and Arasa, the idol of Lord Vinayaka would be found seated, since Lord Vinayaka likes very much to stay under the shadow of these holy trees.
Under the bottom of the holy Himalayas, lot of sages are still doing meditation, and it is believed that Lord Hanuman is also meditating on Lord Rama in one of the caves present in the Himalayan Mountain ranges. It is also believed that Lord Parasurama is still doing penance on the holy Mahendragiri Hills. In the Gandhamadana Mountain, the Yaksha King Kubera’s Alakapuri City is situated, and lot of Gandharvas are also believed to visit this sacred hill in order to spend some time joyfully by singing songs using their favourite instrument Yazh.
Holy Rivers are believed to be the incarnation of the goddess, Ma Shakti Devi, and Rivers like Ganges, Yamuna, Godavari and Tungabhadra contains divine features. All these Rivers used to bear the sins of those devotees who used to take bath on these sacred Rivers. Though Rivers appear in our naked eyes just in the form of water bed, but actually they are in the form of worshipful Goddesses. Whenever we come across any Holy River, the particular River goddess would be able to recognise us, and they would knew about our past, present and future life also.
Hence let us worship the nature gift like trees, Rivers and Mountains, by considering them as Divine forms, and let us be blessed.
