Rishi Narada’s spiritual journey still goes strongly and smoothly. Narada Maharishi was the mind born son of Lord Brahma, and he learnt the divine secrets, also known as “BRAHMA RAHASYA”, from his father Lord Brahma. Though he was considered to be an immortal, but once, he was born to a servant maid in the earth, and he lived a normal life. After the death of his affectionate mother, he began to serve several Vishnu Bhagavathas, and he became a staunch devotee of Lord Vishnu. After his death, he has again attained the position of “DEVA RISHI NARADA”, and began to wander in various Divine worlds as usual.
Narada is very good in playing the musical instrument Tamboora, and with that instrument, he used to sing wonderful songs on Lord Vishnu, and in some of the spiritual films, we could have noticed that the character, who, plays as Narada, would be holding a Tambura on one of his hands, and his mouth would utter the mantra, “NARAYANA”, “NARAYANA”, and some of them would be very much attached and dedicated with the Naradacharacter, and due to that, they would look similar to the original Narada himself!
Rishi Narada had traveled to all the worlds, and also shared his wonderful adventures to Rishis like Suda, Shuka, Bharadwaja and to the Bhagavathas like Prahalada, Markandeya and Dhruva. Though he had visited the heaven, and witnessed the beauty of the celestial Apsaras, he didn’t get any sensual feeling, since his mouth always chants the Vishnu Mantra, “OM NAMO NARAYANAYA NAMAHA”. Narada used to frequently visit the Vaikunta, the divine abode of Lord Vishnu, and he used to sing songs directly in front of Lord Vishnu and Ma Lakshmi Devi.
Still now Narada visits various places, and he was appeared in the dream of few ancient kings, who are considered to be the staunch devotees of Lord Vishnu. Once the great Tiruvannamalai Saint, Sri Seshadri Swamigal had got the divine vision of Rishi Narada during his young age, and he has seen him flying in the skies by uttering some divine songs on Lord Vishnu.
“NARADA BHAKTI” cannot be explained and expressed in words. He only taught about the significance of Vishnu Bhakti to Prahalada and Dhruva, and only because of him, they have become staunch devotees of Lord Vishnu.
Narada has praised Lord Brahma in the form of songs, which are as follows:-
