Nalakuvara

Nalakuvara was mentioned in Hindu and Buddhist texts along with his brother Manigriva. He was the son of the Yaksha king Lord Kubera, and the consort of celestial dancer Rambha. He is considered as the god of Desire, and lives in Alakapuri.

According to the Bhagavata Purana, Nalakuvara and his brother Manigriva were cursed by Narada, since they have not paid their respects to the great Deva Rishi Narada, and due to that, they became trees. Later they have got liberated by Lord Krishna. The divine brothers are worshipped in China and Japan.

Nalakuvara and Manibhadra after getting relieved from their curse have become pure and holy. They began to concentrate their attention on worshipping Lord Vishnu, and through that they got more powers.

In general, most of the divine demigods are committing mistakes due to their excessive powers and by enjoying all sorts of luxuries. But after they get cursed and get liberated from the curse, they are changing their minds and becoming more pious and worshipful persons.

Let us worship the divine brothers and be blessed.
