Naina Devi Temple
Mata Naina Devi Temple is located in Bilaspur district in Himachal Pradesh. The Temple of Mata Naina Devi Ji is located on a hilltop, and we can reach the temple by bus, and also cable car facility is available in order to take pilgrims from the bottom of the hill to the top of the temple shrine.
Near the hills of Naina Devi, the beautiful Lake Gobind Sagar is located.
According to a legend, Naina Devi Temple is the place where the eyes of Mata Sati fell down.
Once when a young boy whose name was Naina, found that a cow is showering milk in a stone. And one night in his dream, Goddess appeared and asked him to worship the stone, and to build a temple for her. Naina told about his dream to the king,and immediately the king of the region, built a temple in that place, and named the temple as Naina Devi Temple.
Shri Naina Devi Temple is considered as one of the Shaktipeethas, and it is a very famous temple for getting relieved from various problems in our life.
Lot of devotees would visit this holy temple, especially on Navarathiri days and other important festival days.
