Miracles of Muruga | Childhood Plays of Lord Murugan… Lord Muruga is the supreme god, and he is the beautiful son of Lord Shiva and Ma Parvati. He was born during the First Krita Yuga (Satya Yuga), and had done lot of mischievous activities and performed many miracles. He used to frequently insist his mother Ma Parvati, for obtaining his favourite eatables like Pori (Puffed Rice) and Neiyappam (Sweet made out of Jaggery) but pretends himself to be an innocent boy. His Divine parents, Shiva and Parvati and the Divine Attendants of Lord Shiva and Ma Parvati have very much enjoyed the beautiful playful activities of child Muruga. Whatever act he performs, no one would get angry on him, and instead of that, they would get more affection on him, due to his lovely smile.
Lord Muruga had killed lot of demons very easily, and reduced the burden of the earth goddess, also known as Mata Bhudevi. Both Muruga and Vinayaka are very good boys, and they had stolen the hearts of the residents of earth and in the heaven. Due to their presence, all of them were very happy. Lord Muruga took birth, in order to destroy the evil forces from the earth.
During the time of the birth of Lord Muruga during the Krita Yuga, people loved each other and contained polite behaviour, and they didn’t suffer much in their life. But in this present age of Kali Yuga, a person is being respected only based on his status and wealth and not on his good behaviour. Due to that, let us pray to the great god Muruga to come once again in this earth, in order to make good things to once again happen in this wonderful world.
